Well, it's that time of year again! I know, I know, thanksgiving hasn't even hit us yet. But as you know, time flies. Soon, New Years will hit and it will be all over with.

Backing up to Halloween, I had loosely cosplayed my book character 'Lady Elyathi.' Of course, when I trick-or-treated with my kids, everyone thought I was Elsa from Frozen. I don't blame them for thinking that, having the blue dress and blonde hair. Actually, I'm not sure if I posted this in my recent sewing post, but that lavender velvet dress is part of my real Lady Elyathi cosplay. I plan on sewing her robe/jacket this weekend if I get a chance after finishing my other daughter's dress. You might be wondering why I chose lavender for her dress instead of white, but in the books it is mentioned several times that she wears lavender (like Emerald.) Another reason is that I really don't want people to think I am Emma Frost if I cosplay her with a white dress. Anywho, here are a couple more pics:
Okay, as for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I will admit that yes, I did decorate early. Usually our family decorates the weekend of Thanksgiving. However, last year we barely decorated because we knew we would be out of town for Christmas. I sort of regretted that decision, so this year I wanted to have them up earlier to enjoy the holiday season longer. So far, we got all the inside of the house decorated. This weekend we will put up the outside decorations. To top it off, I have two new yard decorations! I have a light up Flamingo (see below) and an LED 6' tall Buck! When I get everything up, I will post all my holiday photos. Fun fact: I love birds, especially peacocks, swans, and flamingos. My entire yard is flamingo theme during the summer.

Other fun news in my life is that I got a new vehicle! Okay, so it is a new-used vehicle, but hey, it's new to me! My husband and I found a great deal on a 2016 Toyota Sequoia (Limited) 4WD. I love it so much. It has enough room for our family to take long road trips, or just going to drop them off at school. I also made Skyrim decals make my vehicle extra 'Beth.' As for writing news, I will finish my first draft of "Fragments of Time" during this holiday season. Soon after I finish it, I will go back and start cleaning up the draft, and adding some extra details from my notes. It's getting so close! Until next time! -Beth #halloween #holiday #holidays #thanksgiving #christmas #newyear #cosplay #book #books #flamingo #decorate #lights
